My sister-in-law Margie forwarded this e-mail to me this week. It is too good not to share...
"Sometimes we all need a gentle reminder not to get caught up in the drama of our lives.
If you think you are having a hard time then just look at them...

If you think your salary is low, how about her?
If you think you don't have many friends...
When you feel like giving up, think of this man ...

If you think you suffer in life, do you suffer as much as he does?

If you complain about your transport system, how about them? (Although I'm thinking this might be photoshopped? I don't know...)

If your society is unfair to you, how about her?

Enjoy life how it is and as it comes. "
I am thankful for my way of life, for the comforts and conveniences with which I have been abundantly blessed that I often take for granted. I pray I will have a grateful heart always.
HOW ABOUT YOU? What are you thankful for most in life?

I am thankful for a healthy family and a warm home to live in. Thanks for the reminder :) Cool pictures that really got the point across.
I am thankful for this post. It makes me realize how blessed we are. That poor lady hunched over said enough to me to be grateful.
Wow, I am thankful for YOU Marivic, for your wonderful posts for helping reminding me to have more gratitude! I am one who really needed this post. Thanks!
Hey, I love your new blog look--again! I read your comment on Kim's blog--I feel your pain. I didn't realize that there was a closet--actually, I do talk about it on my blog. I do understand why you wouldn't want to bother starting the whole conversation, though. I don't understand how you can work outside the home and deal with this. So, to answer your question, I am grateful that I don't work outside the home with all the challenges I have that would make it so darn hard. I hate hard!
I too am so thankful and GLAD that I am an AMerican and Live in this country. It is not perfect but no matter what if you are poor and underprivilledged, handicapped etc. There are activists, churches, organizations and government that will reach out and assist, perhaps too much, perhaps not enough but there is help.
I'm thankful for reminders like that! And for so many other things, there would never be time to list them.
Loved the post!
I am SO thankful to live here.... I remember when I was headed home from India, all I could think of was the song, Im coming to America.. TODAY! I was so grateful to be home
A blessed reminder, my dear. I am grateful for my family's health. The moment that is gone, it is so much more difficult to appreciate those things that we have!
Well, it's probably no surprise that I'm a little more aware of how huge of a blessing my sons are these days. With Asher's health issue popping up, I am more fully understanding the pain of parents with chronically ill children (or children that didn't make it in this life-you know that pain all too well, lady). This is difficult, but I know he'll be okay and I couldn't be more thankful. Great post. I love finding people with such great global perspective. :)
I am thankful for this reminder of how good my life is. I am thankful for a job and a home when those things are so hard to come by right now. I could go on and on but that would take a lot of space but I love your post.
hey! i liked that...well, since today is fast& testimony sunday and i am feeling especially thankful for all of my many blessings... sorry to get sappy people, but i'd have to say i am thankful for my testimony of the gospel.
This reminded me of Elder Wirthlin's talk at conference. Come what may ....and LOVE IT! We personally are going through the challenge of being jobless. It's amazing how whatever trial you are going through really changes your thinking on things. Thanks so much for this post
I'm glad you like the e-mail. We are so blessed and sometimes we forget. I love November...I always look at it as a month of giving thanks. May we remember to give thanks throughout the year!!
wow, what a great reminder to not take things for granted! thank you!
I love all of the comments you've been leaving me!
I just had to stop by and say HI and that I'll be back!
Not to worry! I'm still here!
Healthy family for sure! :)
I got this email too. Amazing how we can read the email and see the pictures and feel so blessed and lucky. Then when 10 minutes later the email is forgotten. Sad.
Luckily, I do know how blessed I am!!
First and formost, that I know who I am. So many of us don't and just wander around looking for it. Because of this EVERYTHING else is bigger, better, brighter. Thank you for sharing this humble reminder today.
I am grateful for my family, that we have food on the table, and a roof over our head. I am also thankful that we are all happy and healthy.
I agree that we take so much for granted! Great post.
Yeah, we have a lot to be thankful for don't we? Thanks for sharing the wonderful photos and text.
This past week, as my family has reunited from around the world, I was reminded of how important family relationships are. It's been such a wonderful week, and I will hold this time FOREVER in my heart.
I also am grateful for the gospel in my life. My family attended Sacrament Meeting graciously (none but me are of the LDS faith) and I loved being able to testify of why I love having the church in my life. Best of all, my two older children bore their sweet testimonies.
I have a lot to be thankful for, but those come to mind foremost.
Wow! this really makes me think about the blessings that i have.
thank you.
It always breaks my heart to see children suffer and go without even the simple necessities of life. I'm so grateful to live in my small community where my children can thrive and never go hungry.
I'm thankful for people that give more than they receive. I'm thankful for Christ's love for every man, woman, and child. I'm thankful for my family as I would be lost without them. I'm thankful for the people I work with and their kind words on a hard day. I'm grateful to go seven days in a row with no pain or sickness.
Sheesh, this is getting too long but I can't help it. I'm just so thankful for all I have!
